Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our dynamic team to design, develop, and refine front-end and back-end features for our computational immunology software solutions
  • Deploy your Python skills to write efficient, scalable code that powers our pioneering technology
  • Play detective by debugging applications and identifying system errors to enhance the overall functionality and user experience
  • Never stop learning! Deepen your knowledge in computational immunology and machine learning, applying this understanding to your day-to-day work
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing insightful feedback and welcoming new ideas to grow both personally and professionally
  • Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of immunologists, data scientists, and developers, transforming complex scientific concepts into practical, impactful software solutions
  • Contribute to the design and creation of databases and data interfaces, ensuring the smooth operation of our technology
  • Be at the forefront of tech innovation, learning new technologies and frameworks to constantly improve our product
  • Document your code and system functionalities, making sure that your hard work can be understood and built upon by others


  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Python and front-end and back-end development
  • Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies, like FastAPI, and databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc
  • Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts
  • A solid grasp of secure, stable, scalable, and maintainable software design principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and grow constantly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Enthusiasm for the field of computational immunology and a readiness to dive deep into this exciting domain


  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker


  • Prior exposure to or interest in computational biology or a similar field
  • Self-starter / don’t need to wait for spec
  • Nimble and quick to adapt
  • Able to effectively articulate ideas to others
  • Eager to ask questions and learn
  • Can wear many (engineering) hats
  • An eye for data security
  • Fluent in English

Location and travel

  • Remotely (preference for Malta based).
  • Travel may be required occasionally to attend company events
