We are looking for an enthusiastic python software developer to join the team that builds:

  • Customer-facing web and mobile applications,
  • internal tooling
  • data pipelines and automations,
  • as well as integrations with third party APIs.

This is not a computational biology or bioinformatics position. Nevertheless, you should have an interest in immunology and biotechnology, and be willing to learn significantly about the immune system, our market, and the science behind our technology.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

You will join as one of the first software engineering hires, with clear opportunities for growth both within the company and in your knowledge/skills. Reporting to the CIO and VP Software, you will be:

  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining new tools and products;
  • Developing customer-facing applications and internal integrations;
  • Contributing code across multiple projects and repositories;
  • Designing and implementing APIs;
  • Designing and implementing database schemas;
  • Collaborating with members of other teams to understand, plan, and design relevant solutions.


The projects are varied and require a mix of backend and frontend skills. If you feel that you do not match many of these requirements precisely, we still encourage you to apply if you believe that we would be a great fit and you can get up to speed quickly.

  • Working knowledge of Python;
  • Working knowledge of Git-based source control;
  • Either 2+ years professional software development experience or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science;
  • Good knowledge of computer science / algorithms;
  • Experience with either MySQL or PostgresSQL;
  • API design and implementation;
  • Optional: Experience with writing unit and integration tests;
  • Optional: Frontend web development with a modern CSS framework;
  • Optional: Machine learning;
  • Optional: iOS and/or Android development.

  • Able to effectively articulate ideas to others;
  • Eager to ask questions and learn;
  • Can wear many (engineering) hats;
  • An eye for data security;
  • Fluent in English.

Location and travel

  • Fully remote;
  • The core team is based in European timezones;
  • Travel may be required occasionally to attend company events (approximately once every 3 months);
  • Option to work out of an office in one of our locations.
