Financial Operations Analyst - Spain

Job description

Support Omniscope’s hyper-growth by enabling our international offices and team to move with the highest speed and quality. Enable both internal and external financial operations to push all boundaries and make science happen.

Omniscope’s Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible for the management of workflow throughout all departments within our business by forecasting and optimizing daily activities and performance across the board. All team members count as your internal clients, and you will also manage relationships with external suppliers. Your goal is to ensure that our business is run effectively and comply in every country we operate.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

This position embraces two main pillars:

Financial Planning

  • Manages financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting 
  • Financial coordination with all teams
  • Creates variance analysis reports and financial models
  • Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance
  • Leads real-time financial performance monitoring
  • Escalates any financial issues to management
  • Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
  • Completes market research and comparable company analysis
  • Presents detailed monthly financial reports to managers

Operations

  • Overviews and supervises the accounting operations with our accounting partners (tax, accounts submissions, annual accounts)
  • Manages incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Process providers' payment and payroll
  • Overviews and supervises the workflow and projects with our legal partners
  • Supports the employee onboarding process

Qualifications

  • Background in finance, accounting, or similar
  • +2 years of experience in similar positions
  • Digital native who is fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ERP software, and a fast learner when it comes to mastering any new digital software
  • Nice to have: Previous experience in health care, biotech company, and/or previous experience in a startup

  • Languages: English and Spanish

  • You are organized, flexible, able to act independently and take initiatives
  • You have an entrepreneurial mind and are able to wear many hats when required
  • You are a problem solver and you can perform at “startup stress levels”

Location and travel

You will be primarily based in Barcelona.
